We collectively programme a large amount of professional development for the workforce whether it is for music service teachers/tutors, subject music leaders in schools, students at the Higher Education establishments, Early Years professionals, our Partner Organisations, or the Music Service core teams/SLT.

Looking ahead to the coming academic year, there are three largescale training events that we encourage teachers to plan to attend, if they can
LWMH Tutor Workforce CPD day: Creativity and Consistency
Thurs 4th September 2025 – Booking HERE:
NB: bookings close 28th August
Venue: Royal College of Music (Prince Consort Rd, South Kensington, London, SW7 2BS)
Audience: This day will be focused on the teacher
workforce from the 5 music services that form the London
West Music Hub. There are almost 300 music service
teachers across LWMH, so there is considerable strength
and expertise to draw on, as well as supporting those who
are early career teachers or new to teaching.
LWMH Primary Phase Music Subject Leaders:
9.30-12.30, Thurs 2nd October 2025

Venue: London Coliseum, English National Opera (St Martin's Ln, London WC2N 4ES)
Audience: This day will be focused on the London West Music Hub’s continuing work around supporting Primary Phase Music Subject Leaders. There are 337 primary schools across LWMH, so there is considerable strength and expertise to support those who are early career teachers or new to leading music.
LWMH Secondary Phase Music Subject Leaders:

Audience: This day will be focused on the London West Music Hub’s continuing work around supporting Secondary Phase Music Subject Leaders. There are 96 secondary schools and 9 FE / Sixth Form colleges across LWMH, so there is considerable strength and expertise to support those who are early career teachers or new to leading music.
Bookings for the drinks reception and evening performance will follow in May/June.
