We collaborate with three world-class Strategic Partners who provide vital input at the governance level for the London West Music Hub. Beyond oversight and quality assurance, these partners help drive change to ensure we meet our Strategic Aims. They play a key role in developing innovative approaches to our core functions, specifically regarding musical progression, talent pathways, and inclusive practice.
The Royal Albert Hall’s partnership with LWMH strongly aligns with our organisational ambition to widen access to high-quality creative experiences and to embed creativity as a driver of wellbeing, aspiration and social connection. Through this partnership, we are able to reach young people and communities who may not otherwise see the Hall as a place for them, while working alongside LWMH to model long-term, values-led collaboration.
Beyond programme delivery, we bring strategic thinking, evaluation expertise and a deep understanding of how creative engagement supports confidence, skills and health outcomes. We also contribute a reflective practice, sharing learning and insight to strengthen the Hub as a whole. The two-way nature of the relationship is vital: by listening, adapting and co-creating, both organisations grow, ensuring the partnership remains relevant, responsive and impactful.
The partnership between the Royal College of Music (RCM) and the London West Music Hub is rooted in shared values and a collective commitment to inclusive music practice. Together, we believe that every young person should have equitable access to high-quality musical opportunities that build confidence and creativity.
The RCM’s Learning and Participation department, RCM Sparks, works in close collaboration with the London West Music Hub to co-create innovative and inclusive learning opportunities for young people of all ages. Each year, the RCM welcomes hundreds of young musicians from across the Hub to take part in a wide range of schools’ concerts, courses, events, and training activities at RCM, facilitating collaboration and connectivity between participants, partner organisations, LWMH and the local community.
Together, RCM and London West Music Hub are committed to developing a skilled and culturally responsive music education workforce. Through this partnership, RCM students are supported to experience, learn from, and actively contribute to the work of London West Music Hub, developing the confidence and skills needed to become reflective, socially-engaged music educators of the future.
The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra is proud to be a strategic partner with London West Music Hub and looks forward to playing a significant role in the development of this exciting new partnership. We value the expertise and commitment of the Hub to understanding local need, tracking impact, sharing best practice, and centring the voices of young people in the development of the Hub programme.
We aim to use the learning and insights that the new Hub will deliver to help shape our own programmes in Brent and West London. We will contribute our industry perspective and professional expertise as an internationally renowned performing ensemble, along with our passion for inclusion and the joy of making music in large groups.
