Our Lead Schools for Music are champions for music excellence across the London West area.
Rather than working in isolation, these schools are designated to work hand-in-hand with London West Music Hub to raise the bar for music education across the school community.

The Role of a Lead School
A Lead School isn’t just a school that is 'good at music', it is a school that has committed to being a partner in the wider music ecosystem. While each Lead School is different in its approach, their role generally covers three main areas:-
Modelling Excellence: Lead Schools demonstrate what a high-quality music curriculum looks like in practice, including classroom teaching, instrumental lessons, and ensembles.
School-to-School Support: Lead Schools provide peer-to-peer mentoring and professional development for teachers in neighbouring schools who might be less confident in delivering music.
Lead School Partnership: Lead Schools act as a bridge between London West Music Hub and the local teaching workforce, ensuring that the Hub’s resources reach the classrooms where they are needed most.
