Music Production / Technology at the Townshend Studio: Introduction and Exploration
Audience: Secondary/6th Form Music Teachers - this session will be focused on supporting Secondary teachers across London West Music Hub’s Schools.

Schedule of the Day: This will be a hands-on session of sound exploration and experimental music-making using contemporary digital tools with the emphasis on non-traditional, technology-based music practice. Together we will explore how these instruments can inspire secondary music teachers and give takeaways for you to use back in your classroom. We will start the session with a chance to hear some of the vintage instruments from Pete Townshend’s collection in person. Learn about Pete’s musical journey from local lad to rock legend via Ealing Art College, his life-long obsession with sound, music, technology and art and how this story has come full-circle with the Townshend Studio project at UWL.
